Hi guys, Great website! There are so many great communities out there, I run one myself called www.specialeducationneeds.info which provides all kinds of useful information about speech therapy, sen, dyslexia, sensory rooms, autism and other forms of disibility. We would love to hear from some of you. We have just published a post about a brilliant peice of software called Visual Voice Pro. It looks great for people working with SEN, Speech Therapy, and other kinds of therapy in sensory rooms. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi I'm a single mom of two children. Cecilia age 9 and Hunter age 7. Hunter is on the specrum, I appreciate all your information on here. I am struggling with getting help from my family and friends. My family is slow to accept what is "going on with" Hunter. I am learning myself and it is very hard for me to even get my parents to read a flyer on what Autism is. Friends have pushed me away because I can't control Hunter. They don't want their kids to think his behavor is acceptable. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Hey Tiffany! You have a FANTASTIC website, girl! I would like to add to your inexpensive family "stuff" the Red River. Emory loves the texture of the sand & we can bury her in it to her neck. Not to mention all that room to roam!! She LOVES it! And like a lot of places, there are hardly any other visitors on weekdays. But if your kiddo likes excitement, the weekends are sure to have lots of four wheelers buzzing around to keep them excited! It's quick drive & you just park, kick off your shoes, and make the rest up as you go along. Bring a cooler - and shovels & buckets! And have a wonderful day at The River!

Hi if anyone is looking to go away on an inexpensive vacation there is a website called Elijah's Retreat in Jacksonville tx. and it is a really nice get away place for families with a child with autism. My family and I have been twice and absolutely loved it, and had a really good time. Check out the website Plllease.
